Mr. Vitthal Despande

Vithal Deshpande is an accomplished leader with over 24 years of experience of leading and successfully developing a wide range of innovative projects and management systems for the private and government agencies that have created measurable positive impacts on the business practices. His visionary actions and initiatives helped businesses, non-profits, and governments to increase revenues, avoid litigation, and to cut or manage the cost.
Over the years, he successfully acquired multimillion dollars in funding to develop and to integrate environmental management solutions as well as web-based, mobile based and GIS-based technologies in the field of energy, environment, and sustainability. Some of his representative projects include water, energy, and chemical recovery system for textile manufacturing, disaster management, real-time data collection and predictive modeling of river quality, greenhouse gases (GHG) database development, satellite image analysis for the urban region to analyze solid waste management, recycling management, electronic waste and food composting projects, stormwater management impact, green building development, public construction management, and public education app development. He was a founder member and a co-chair for The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE) Boston’s Social Entrepreneurs group.
He mentored startup businesses from US, UK, South America, and Israel for strategies and business development. He is serving as a director on the Boards of Groundwork Somerville, MA and for Shashwat Eco-Solutions Foundation, Pune, India. In addition to technology solutions and strategic planning, Vithal also developed and implemented several modules for public education that helped to brand new initiatives and to achieve behavioral changes.
He advised various graduate level students from engineering, policy, economics, public health, and business departments. His work has been published and presented in regional, national and international meetings. Vithal received Masters in Environmental Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston and an MBA from Isenberg School of Management, UMASS Amherst.

• Retired Chief Engineer from Bruhan Mumbai Municipal Corporation. He is Master of Engineering (Civil) Specialized in Environmental Engineering.

• Associate with Indian Water Works Association, Institution of Engineers (India), Indian road Congress, Indian Environmental Association, Water Environment Federation, Member and office bearer of local educational trust, cultural trust, AGNI (action for good governance in India), Dignity foundation, NGO, Konkan Academy Of Biosciences. Associate with many organisations for capacity building of projects and capacity building activities in water and waste water sector.

• Was a team member of Asia Pro Eco, EU funded project from IWWA. Since last one and half year engaged in preparation of City Sanitation Plan for 19 cities in Maharashtra.

Mr. Nayan Khambati

Since Nov 2010- Worked as Nation Expert for the World Bank financed “National Ganga River Basin Authority for improvements to Sewage Treatment Plants along the river.
Jan 2008 0nwards:Partner, Econ pollution Control Consultants, Management, designs and procurement for large and mid-size infrastructure( to include water supply, sewerage, storm water, flood control measures, roads, re-use, rain water harvesting and water conservation) projects for a number of rural and urban townships, commercial buildings, markets, malls, hospitals, etc Jan 2007 to June 2008-Worked on behalf of Indian Water Works Association on the project- ECOSAN- “Capacity Building” funded by The European Commission under Asia Pro Eco Program (Contract No. ASIE/2006/122410), aimed to generate local expertise and knowledge in ecological sanitation (ecosan) by the carrying out of training activities sensitive to three different stakeholder groups:
(1) authorities and governmental representatives,
(2) multiplicators and consultants and
(3) implementers and users, based on a participatory cross-institutional approach. Jan- Oct 2007: Worked as Senior Expert with Mots MacDonald*R V Anderson* PHE Consultants on MSDP II Priority Works, being implemented by MCBM under JNNURM scheme.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 2000 crore

Mr. Vikas Bhise

• A Mechanical Engineer from VNIT, Nagpur (1974) He has been working in the field of Climate Change, CDM Projects, Carbon Foot printing, Bio-fuels, Bio-energy, Solar energy, Waste to Energy Projects, Rural Sanitation and Green Energy Solutions since a decade.

• He is working as a technical consultant to a no. of companies and organizations. He has written a no. of articles in News Papers and Magazines to create awareness about renewable energy applications to rural and domestic field. He has developed and implemented some CSR and CDM projects for mitigation of Greenhouse gases.(GHG)

• He has also developed and implemented Waste to Energy projects for rural areas making the village self-sufficient in its energy requirements.

• He has been associated with different development groups working in the field of Appropriate Technology, Rural Development, Rural Energy, Organic and Sustainable Farming, MSW Disposal and Sanitation.

Mr. Vilas Kulkarni

• He has worked with Statfield Systems & Equipments as a Errection & commissioning Engineer 1995 – 1998 & Thermax Ltd from 1998 to 2007.
He provides specialized treatments for Polluted water sources & making water potable. Doing it for Baramati MIDC (for Ujani Dam), Hingna MIDC ( Ambazari Lake), Waluj MIDC, Rahimatpur, etc.
Completed more than 11 Rain Water Harvesting projects, which are running successfully. Also provides Treatment plants & trouble shooting for Grey water & sewage treatment & Consultancy for Mineral water bottling plants.
